Serving the citizens and providing excellent customer service is a top priority of Candice D. Kelley. Continuing to provide innovative ways to remit payments, improve internal and external processes, and keeping the Treasurer's Office efficient are important to Candice. In addition, supporting the York County Board of Supervisor's strategic priorities that include ensuring "excellent customer service", "facilitation of quality economic development", and "devoting resources necessary to ensure and sustain exemplary public safety" are vital for the success of both the Treasurer's Office and York County.

 

The new software by Avenity has been successfully implemented. There are new citizen facing portals for both taxes and utility bills. This multi-year process would not have been possible without the York County Board of Supervisors who approved the funding as well as a lot of support from County Administration and the Department of Information Technology. I am very proud of the work by all involved and hope this new technology provides a more modern platform for citizens.

The treasurer's office is responsible for accounting for all county revenue, collecting taxes and other revenues, and maintaining sound investment of county funds. These funds are vital to supporting economic development and the public safety needs of the county. She understands and supports the need for providing revenue stability to the county. She demonstrates on a daily basis the honesty and ethics necessary to provide professional services to citizens and maintain confidentiality.
